FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT STEP 1
Who is Interstaff?
Interstaff is a family-run staffing company with over two decades of experience in international recruiting and staffing. Our goal is to help nurses fulfill their dreams of becoming a Registered Nurse in the United States.
What are the requirements?
We require you to be a Registered Nurse, have an active nursing license, currently work full-time in a tertiary facility with two years of total bedside experience within a tertiary hospital, and speak strong English. Both BSN and diploma in nursing are accepted.
Where’s the interview held & what does it entail?
The interview is held via Skype or WhatsApp and it is an overview of your educational background, current employment, and overall skills. Please make sure you dress professionally.
How long does the process take?
The overall process takes about 18-24 months depending on how long it takes for you to complete each step of the process. Nurses who have already passed the NCLEX and IELTS experience shorter processing times.
Will my family be able to immigrate with me?
Yes, both your spouse and any unmarried children under the age of 21 may deploy alongside you to the U.S. We also assist in their Visa process.
To which U.S. states do you deploy your nurses? Can I choose my location?
We place our nurses in multiple states including Arizona, Colorado, Ohio, Georgia, Florida, Louisiana, Pennsylvania, Texas, and more. Since locations are determined by your experience and the hospital’s needs, we cannot guarantee location but we do take your preferences into consideration.
How much do you charge?
We don’t charge anything for you to use our services. You don’t owe us any fees, and we don’t deduct from your paycheck.
