The IELTS is an English proficiency test which is required of all international nurses who wish to work in the U.S. We have put together some tips to help you pass!
Tip #1 – It is best to start studying for the IELTS as soon as possible! The more time you have, the more peace you’ll feel over the entire process. If you diligently practice then you’ll minimize stress.
Tip #2 – You should practice regularly by speaking English every day. The biggest help will be to find a friend or mentor who speaks fluently and talk with them on a daily basis.
Tip #3 – Don’t memorize! While it may seem like a good idea to memorize tests and answers, you’ll learn best by truly understanding and comprehending the content.
There will be two tests dates; one for the speaking portion and one for the remaining portions. In terms of scoring, Interstaff requires an overall band score of 6.5 and a speaking score of 7. Nurses do not have to pass the IELTS before applying with Interstaff, but you will have to pass the test before filing for immigration.
